London Urban Landscape Photography 

1 Day Workshop

Join me for a full day exploring London through a creative, fine art approach to photography.

This isn't a traditional street photography workshop built around candid portraits or approaching strangers. Instead, we'll create urban landscapes where architecture takes the lead and people become part of the composition. A single silhouette crossing a pool of light, a figure reflected in glass, or someone disappearing into shadow can add scale, balance, and atmosphere without becoming the main subject.

We'll explore modern architecture, quiet back streets, glass buildings, reflections, bold geometry, and pockets of light that many people walk straight past. Every location has the potential to become a carefully balanced photograph.

During the day we'll cover

​

• Learning to recognise light, shape, and atmosphere.

• Using slower shutter speeds and intentional camera movement to introduce motion and energy.

• Building clean, balanced compositions in busy environments.

• Including people naturally to add scale, rhythm, or a sense of place.

• Simple exercises that help you spot stronger compositions and make more confident creative decisions.

What you'll need

Any camera is suitable, whether it's mirrorless, DSLR, or a compact camera. Bring a lens you know well. A versatile zoom or small prime lens is ideal.

A 3–4 stop ND filter is useful if you'd like to experiment with motion blur or longer exposures, although it isn't essential.

You won't need a tripod.

You'll go home with photographs you're proud of. More importantly, you'll learn to recognise light, shape, and compositions that most people never notice. Skills you can apply every time you pick up a camera.
