The Isle of Harris — a place that never fails to inspire me. The beaches here stretch for miles, the light changes by the minute, and the Atlantic is always putting on a show. It’s the perfect setting for anyone who loves the coast and wants to create more personal, expressive images.

This workshop is all about slowing down, tuning into the landscape, and learning to see in new ways. We’ll focus on both classic seascape photography and creative techniques like ICM (Intentional Camera Movement). I’ll show you exactly how I approach a scene, from working with the conditions to capturing movement and mood.

We’ll be staying in a couple of coastal cottages, right by the sea, with easy access to places like Luskentyre, Scarista, Huisinis, and the wild west coast. The plan will stay flexible so we can make the most of whatever the weather brings — whether it’s soft mist, golden evening light, or waves & wild Atlantic storms.

When we’re not out shooting, we’ll dive into editing back at the cottages. I’ll walk you through my full workflow in Lightroom and Photoshop, and help you bring out the best in your images.

Groups are small , which means plenty of time for one-to-one help, whatever your level of experience. 

This is a workshop about  connecting with the landscape, and developing your personal vision — not just chasing perfect conditions. You’ll leave Harris with a set of images you’re proud of, and new ways of seeing that stay with you long after the trip ends.
